Deze bigband heeft ontelbare keren opgetreden in clubs en op festivals over de hele wereld. Ze werkten samen met onder meer Tony Allen, Mapacha Africa, Andrew Roachford, Jules Deelder, Typhoon, Guus Meeuwis, Matt Bianco, Thierno Koité en Georgie Fame.
De afgelopen jaren bouwt de band aan een sterke reeks releases. Hun imposante catalogus werd uitgebreid met albums als Electric Monkey Sessions 1 & 2, een bigband-samenwerking met Orchestra Baobab-saxofonist Thierno Koité, en de quirky elektronische sounds op Dansé Dansé.

Begin 2021 verhuisde de band van Amsterdam naar Rotterdam, waar ze met producer Simon Akkermans in een studio aan de Maas werken aan het album YUNIKōN. Deze samenwerking zorgt voor frisse impulsen.

In 2024 vierde New Cool Collective hun 30-jarig bestaan met uitverkochte shows door het hele land, en verscheen het album Everything Is OK! Het nieuwste album, On Tour! (Live) uit 2025, laat opnieuw horen uit welk hout ze gesneden zijn.
